Officials from NTIA and the Federal Communications Commission hosted the webcast to give members of the tech and telecom media a chance to preview the map, and the data standing behind it, prior to the full public launch.
The launch webcast features four federal officials for the two agencies:
Rebecca Blank, Acting U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce
Lawrence E. Strickling, Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information and NTIA Administrator
Julius Genachowski, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski
Anne Neville, NTIA State Broadband Data and Development Program Director
