Alert: UC Davis Receives $9.1 Broadband Stimulus Award for California Telehealth Network

StimulatingBroadband.com 09/13/2010 San Francisco - The University of California at Davis will shortly be announcing a broadband stimulus award of $9.14 million for end user education on its California Telehealth Network (CTN).

The award, from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is in the Sustainable Broadband Adoption (SBA) category of the project funds being dispersed by the agency.


CTN, headquartered at the UC Davis School of Medicine, was recently awarded $22.1 million in telehealth network development funds by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).


A press statement describing the  SBA grant is now in its final drafting stages and moving between several agencies of California state government, including the office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA).
