Stimulating Oversight: Senate Commerce Committee to Hold Broadband Stimulus Oversight Hearing on 10/27

StimulatingBroadband.com 10/21/09 San Francisco - The full U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation has posted a hearing notice for an Oversight Hearing of the broadband stimulus programs of the Recovery Act to be held next Tuesday, October 27.

Posting of the Hearing Notice as a Full Committee proceeding means that the proceeding will be chaired by Committee Chairman Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), with Ranking Member Sen. Kay Baily Hutchinson (R-TX). No witness list has been posted for the hearing to date.

The last Congressional oversight proceeding to look at the broadband stimulus programs within the Recovery Act was held on September 10 by the U.S. House Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
