Broadband Stimulus: NTIA & RUS Post First Wave of Grant - Loan Application FAQs

StimulatingBroadband.com 07/24/09 The two federal agencies responsible for administering the $7.2 billion broadband stimulus programs funded by the Recovery Act, have now posted their first wave of answers to frequently asked procedural questions about the programs.

The 2 agencies, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the Department of Commerce, and the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) of the Department of Agriculture are today conducting their last of 10 regional Workshops held around the nation since July 7.

The Workshops, held from National Harbor, Maryland on July 7, to Los Angeles, California today, were attended by several thousand audience members in total, many of whom issued scores of verbal and written questions.

The majority of the 43 answers to questions posted yesterday, 07/23, about the programs were asked by audience members at the Workshops. Earlier this week, the 2 agencies posted an additional set of 81 answers relating to the highly detailed issues of online eAuthentication and Contractor Registration.
